- Chocolate coating is now paper/film and ice cream bleeds through.

What have you done...the chocolate coating is now a paper then film...ice cream bleeds through coating...ice cream ***..cheapened the historical quality for profit sake.
You should now consider simply skipping the chocolate film place a stick in the *** ice cream and call it a day.

I never had a problem with these before. But the last few packages I bought looked like they had been opened and resealed, although the plastic was on tight as usual.
One of the bars was upside down in the package. I thought that was just a mistake in packing, but then when I opened the wrapper, something smelled weird. I tasted it, and it had a chemical taste to it. It just smelled off, so I disposed of it and opened the other package I bought, which looked perfectly normal until I looked at the back of the bar.
The wrapping was twisted and folded under, and the smell was the same as the other package. I'm afraid to buy these or eat them or offer them to my family.
My loss = $10. Their loss = a good customer.

Stinky wrappers

Bought Klondike bars today. The wrapper had a strong chemical smell. I can't return them because of the hot weather so I will throw them out. The company needs to determine what chemical that is be.
The wrapper has a strong chemical smell even before you unwrap it to eat the ice cream. I unwrapped another to compare, and it also smelled terrible. The ice cream smells like chemicals.

The bars are way smaller than they were 10 years ago. The wrappers have a very strong chemical smell to them now, which is off-putting and frankly disgusting.
The chocolate shell is thin, and the ice-cream itself isn't anything to write home about.
These are not the chocolate bars we dreamed of as kids, and yet they're marketed as the wonderful treats they were years ago. Disappointing, and in a world where big corps squeeze as much money out of the consumer as possible whilst also providing a sub-par product, they are no longer worth my money.
